Matthews and Tannert are a well established professional company which has expanded steadily since its formation in 1985. Its core business as a plumbing and heating contractor continues to grow and the company has been further enhanced by the introduction of an electrical department together with tradesmen with specialised skills such as plastering, wall tiling, floor tiling and decoration.

Matthews and Tannert are now able to offer a full refurbishment service as well as plumbing and heating services.

History

Mathews and Tannert was established in 1985 by Stephen Matthews and Michael Tannert. They provided a plumbing and heating maintenance and installation service within the East Midlands.

The company has expanded considerably since those early days and now employs over 140 tradesmen, together with a management team of 20 including designers, planners, health and safety department and a procurement division.

Delivery

With over twenty years experience Matthews and Tannert have worked closely with local authorities, housing associations and the general public.

We pride ourselves on providing a high quality product, delivered on time to the satisfaction of all our clients.

Today, Matthews and Tannert is one of the largest plumbing and heating companies in the East Midlands and have a vast experience in all factors of plumbing and heating, including installation in new build houses incorporating renewable systems, bathroom installations and kitchen installations in occupied dwellings.

We also offer a service plan for boilers that we fit and issue landlord safety certification where required.

When Matthew and Tannert carry out large scale plumbing and heating contracts, we believe, wherever possible that local labour and local merchants are employed to deliver these projects, ensuring that the local economy benefits from these works.

Matthews and Tannert also pride themselves in their apprenticeship policy and partnering with the local college (West Notts College) to offer the opportunity of benefiting from learning a skilled profession.

Currently Matthews and Tannert have 15 apprentices with careers including gas engineers, electricians and plasterers.

We also encourage and support colleagues that attend university in order to gain further academic qualifications.
